The Lifeline Telecare Mobile Alarm is a personal alarm for the elderly and disabled that can be used both at home and away from it. The ‘Family & Friends’ Mobile Alarm is a pendant alarm that can call and text up to 3 telephone numbers of your choice. These can be the numbers of family, friends and neighbours. The numbers programmed can be either mobiles or landlines.
The Mobile Alarm is a pendant alarm. The user wears the alarm, wherever they go. If they get into any difficulty e.g. following a fall or suddenly feeling unwell, all the wearer has to do is push the button on the pendant.
The pendant will then automatically send an SOS Alert text to each of 3 telephone numbers, letting the recipient know that their loved one needs help. The SOS text will also include Google Maps link to the pendant’s location, so their loved one can be found easily.
Immediately after the text messages are sent, the alarm will then call the first number. When the call is answered, the recipient can then talk directly to their loved one through the pendant itself. The pendant itself has two-way communication. If there is no answer from the first number it will move on to the second number, and so on…
In addition to being able to push the button to call for help, the Mobile Alarm also has built in fall detection – the pendant uses advanced sensors to detect falls. Fall detection can be essential in circumstances where the user falls and loses consciousness, thereby being unable to push the button. It can also be an essential safety feature for those at risk of a sudden loss of consciousness e.g. people with heart conditions, epilepsy or at a high risk of a stroke. When a fall is detected the alarm will send an SOS ‘FALL’ Alert to the 3 nominated contacts, letting them know that a fall has been detected. It is important to note that while no fall detector can accurately detect 100% of falls, a fall detector can significantly increase the wearers safety.

The Mobile Alarm comes with a Lifeline Telecare SIM card already installed. The Lifeline Telecare SIM is a roaming safety SIM that works on all 4 big networks – Vodafone, O2, Orange and T Mobile. The SIM will automatically jump between the networks to get the best signal available for it. The SIM card is Pay As You Go, and can be purchased directly on our website. The SIM supplied includes some free credit to get you started – 15 texts / 5 mins talk time / 1MB data, with a 30 day expiry period. You can literally use this alarm straight out of the box.
The device can use any SIM card that supports the 2G mobile network (Vodafone, EE, O2 and T-Mobile). It can also be used overseas with a local 2G SIM card. It works in Ireland, and in most countries across Europe.
